The Village has lacked transparency on communications with the developer and plans for the site.
Hidden Ordinance: Ordinance 2856 was passed in 1988 and allowed the north 6.2 acres of the property to be zoned commercial upon certain conditions. Until recently, this Ordinance has not available online through Glenview website or municipal code. It was not included in any Village Comprehensive plan before 2017, and all maps showed this property as being zoned residential.
No Disclosure for Years: Numerous residents have inquired about the use and zoning of the land. The Village staff have never responded with information or detail about the ordinance.
